The Liberty Homestead

Jan 19, 2018

Rinda Myers was born in Pocatello, Idaho, and grew up all over the country.  She moved to the Tulsa area in 2000 where she met and married her husband, Lonny, in 2002.  She graduated from the University of Tulsa in 2004 with a BS in Mathematics.  They were living in city limits in 2012 when they first got chickens, what she calls “The Gateway Animal,” and the rest is history.  They now live southeast of Tulsa on 9 acres with their four children, where she runs her poultry breeding business and her husband runs a handyman and lawncare business.  She stays busy caring for the animals and making plans for improving the property.  Being self sufficient and keeping their food source local is important to them.
